Celebrity Baby Names
Starting with Letter "C"

Artists are creative by nature and often give their children quite creative names! Some are traditional, some unique, and some are, well, just down right weird. It doesn't really matter at the end of the day for these kids, though, because for the most part they were dealt a pretty good hand in life considering the wealth and stature of their respective parent(s).

Check out some of the interesting names celebs have given their children. Click on a block or drag the slider to select the first initial of the celebrity's first name.

  • Dashiell, Roman and Ignatius Upton
    Dashiell, Roman and Ignatius Upton
While honing her remarkable skills as an actress, Australian-born Cate Blanchett somehow managed to endure nine months of pregnancy and one day of childbirth a total of three times. All the while, we’re sure, juggling a busy career as a Hollywood A-list actress. Good’on ya, mate! Cate’s husband since 1997, play and film writer Andrew Upton, supplied the actress with Y chromosomes to make three baby boys. Dashiell John was born in 2001; brother Roman Robert followed in 2004 and last came Ignatius Martin in 2008. Cate is obviously a woman with taste and individual flair. None of these names is anywhere near overused or trendy. Dashiell was likely inspired by Dashiell Hammet, American author of “The Maltese Falcon” and “The Thin Man” classics. Roman and Ignatius are both old-school Latin names for the very erudite. Classy, cool and ultra-yet-anti-conventional.
  • Cassandra, Sam, Lola, Bob and Max
Cassandra, Sam, Lola, Bob and Max
Crazy-ass Charlie Sheen has been married three times and has five children. His first child was born out of wedlock in 1984 to Sheen's former high school girlfriend. This daughter is named Cassandra Jade Estevez (Estevez being Sheen's real last name). Later he had two more daughters with Denise Richards named Sam J. and Lola Rose. His third wife, Brooke Mueller, gave him twin sons named Bob and Max. And by the way, we don't mean Robert and Maximilian. We mean Bob and Max.
  • Chaz (née Chastity) Bono and Elijah Blue Allman
Chaz (née Chastity) Bono and Elijah Blue Allman
Cher used to have one daughter and one son; now she has two sons. In 1962 Cher hooked-up with Sonny Bono when she was only sixteen and the two went on to have a successful singing and television variety show career. Chastity Bono was born in 1969. We wonder if Cher was either being ironic or if she was thumbing her nose at conventional society by using the virtue name signifying sexual purity. Later, Chastity turned out to be a transgender man and changed his name to Chaz. After divorcing Sonny, Cher went on to marry musician Gregg Allman (of the Allman Brothers fame). They had one son named Elijah Blue Allman in 1976. Cher may have been a trendsetter with the “Blue” moniker now that Beyoncé and Jay-Z named their daughter Blue Ivy, Alicia Silverston named her son Bear Blu and back in 1989 the U2 guitarist known as The Edge named his third daughter Blue Angel.
  • Emmeline Bale
    Emmeline Bale
The talented English actor has been married since 2000 to the former assistant of Winona Ryder, a former model named Sandra. The couple had a daughter in March 2005 who they named Emmeline. Pretty cute choice!
  • Max Liron Bratman
    Max Liron Bratman
According to the Perez Hilton website the word "Liron" means "My Song" in Hebrew. "Max" means "the greatest." Hence, Max Liron is Christina's greatest song. For a woman known for her amazing voice, that may be the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
  • Presley and Kaia Gerber
    Presley and Kaia Gerber
There's no doubt about it. Cindy Crawford's kids (with her handsome husband Rande Gerber) are already gorgeous. Probably among the best-looking kids in Hollywood. Her son Presley Walker Gerber was born in 1999 while her daughter Kaia Jordan Gerber followed in 2001. Both are original name choices which have never seen significant popularity (although Presley does remarkably well for baby girls today). Presley is probably inspired by Elvis, and Kaia is a Norwegian diminutive of Katarina (i.e., Katherine).
  • Coco Riley Arquette
    Coco Riley Arquette
Two days before her 40th birthday, Courteney Cox gave birth to her one and only child, a daughter named Coco Riley Arquette. The father is, of course, David Arquette (the couple is separated now). Coco apparently received her fashionable moniker not in homage to Coco Chanel as one might assume, but rather as an abbreviation of sorts of her mother's name COurteney COx. Get it?
