Celebrity Baby Names
Starting with Letter "D"

Artists are creative by nature and often give their children quite creative names! Some are traditional, some unique, and some are, well, just down right weird. It doesn't really matter at the end of the day for these kids, though, because for the most part they were dealt a pretty good hand in life considering the wealth and stature of their respective parent(s).

Check out some of the interesting names celebs have given their children. Click on a block or drag the slider to select the first initial of the celebrity's first name.

  • Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Beckham
Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Beckham
English soccer hunk David Beckham and his gorgeous wife Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) are among the most prominent celebrity couples in Hollywood (globally for that matter). The couple has four children. Their first son Brooklyn Joseph (b. 1999) was named after the NYC borough. Second son Romeo James (b. 2002) was named after the romantic Shakespearean character. Next came third son Cruz David (b. 2005) whose Spanish name was inspired by his birthplace in Madrid, Spain. Finally the ϋber-celebrity couple got their wish when they welcomed a baby girl to their brood in 2011. They named her Harper Seven. We like their name choices and apparently so does the rest of America – all names mentioned above have seen increased usage on the U.S. naming charts.
  • Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Willis
    Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Willis
Demi Moore was ahead of the Hollywood pregnancy fad when she started having babies at the young age of 26 with her then-husband Bruce Willis. Apparently, she was also a trend-setter when it came to picking out unusual names for her daughters. The first was Rumer Glenn (b. 1988) named after British novelist Rumer Godden. In 1991, Moore had her second daughter Scout LaRue whose name came from one of the most beloved characters in American fiction, Scout Finch from "To Kill a Mockingbird" and lastly there was Tallulah Belle whose name was inspired by Tallulah Bankhead, a husky-voiced actress from the Golden Era of Hollywood. Tallulah Willis later changed her name to Lula having been dissatisfied with her parent’s original choice. Wonder if we'll see more celebrity children follow suit!
  • Sam and Lola Sheen. Eloise Richards
Sam and Lola Sheen. Eloise Richards
Bond girl turned reality TV star Denise Richards is single-mother to two daughters (their father is, of course, the irrepressible and nutty Charlie Sheen). Sam J. Sheen was born March 9, 2004 and Lola Rose Sheen followed on June 1, 2005. In 2011, Richards adopted another girl. This time she let her sisters Sam and Lola choose the name. They picked charming Eloise after the eponymous children's book character. Darling. Denise gave Eloise the middle name Joni after her own mother.
  • Olive Barrymore Kopelman
    Olive Barrymore Kopelman
The lovely Drew Barrymore has continued the illustrious Hollywood Barrymore name when she gave birth to and named her baby daughter Olive Barrymore Kopelman on September 26, 2012 (the baby-daddy is Barrymore's husband, art consultant Will Kopelman). For the 1999 Christmas season Barrymore provided the eponymous voiceover for "Olive, The Other Reindeer", an animated television special. Perhaps that's where Drew got her baby's name. The over-played and ultra-popular Olivia was given to more than 17,000 baby girls in 2011. But the quaintly offbeat two-syllable Olive was only bestowed 750 times that same year. Olive is less fancy-pants and more quirky - just like the baby's mother!
