Celebrity Baby Names
Starting with Letter "E"

Artists are creative by nature and often give their children quite creative names! Some are traditional, some unique, and some are, well, just down right weird. It doesn't really matter at the end of the day for these kids, though, because for the most part they were dealt a pretty good hand in life considering the wealth and stature of their respective parent(s).

  • Felix Handelman
    ElizabethBanks
    Felix Handelman
Elizabeth Banks and her husband had a son in March 2011. They named the little guy Felix which means "happy". An off-beat yet fortuitous name indeed! Felix was born via surrogacy because, as Banks herself has been quoted as saying, her belly is “broken” so she made a “baby cake” in another woman’s “oven”. Her baby’s name is no accident either. According to Banks: “Felix means ‘happy’ and ‘lucky’ in Latin. And true to his name, Felix is a very happy baby and a blessing on our life.” Congratulations funny lady!
  • Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John
    EltonJohn
    Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John
A first time father at the age of sixty-three, this is a man ready for parenting. A serial godfather to no less than ten children (including John Lennon’s son Sean, two of the Beckham children, not to mention Elizabeth Hurley’s son), Elton was ready to put his true parenting skills to test on Christmas Day 2010 when his son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born to a surrogate mother. The other father, David Furnish, and Elton John were married in a civil-service ceremony five years earlier (almost to the day) in 2005. The two fathers had been in a same-sex partnership for 17 years prior to the birth of their son – much longer than most celebrity couples we’ve seen, that’s for sure! Zachary Jackson is a darling name, and Levon is a must-have. Anyone familiar with the tunes of Elton knows that “Levon was born on Christmas Day when the New York Times said God was dead.” Quite symbolic. But who, pray tell, does the honors of god-parenting go to for this child of the ϋber-godparent? None other than Elton John’s kindred spirit Lady Gaga.
